Thanks to support from, among other things, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.energimyndigheten.se\/nyhetsarkiv\/2022\/stor-utbyggnad-av-el--och-vatgasstationer-for-gods-efter-beslut-fran-energimyndigheten\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Electrification pilot<\/a> from the Energy Agency, but also other investment support from for example the EU and Klimatklivet, makes it possible to speed up the expansion of more hydrogen filling stations.  Around 100 hydrogen filling stations are planned to be built in Sweden in the coming years. The map illustrates existing stations in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. For hydrogen filling stations globally, we refer to the map that you can see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.h2stations.org\/\">here<\/a>  <\/p>\n\n<p>V\u00e4tgas Sweden leads an EU project <a href=\"https:\/\/nordichydrogencorridor.com\/\">Nordic Hydrogen Corridor<\/a> together with Everfuel, Toyota, Hyundai and Statkraft. The project&#8217;s goal is to establish eight filling stations and an electrolyser (hydrogen production unit). The project also includes the launch of <a href=\"https:\/\/vatgas-i-transporter\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/vatgas.se\/en\/fakta\/hydrogen-in-transport\/\">fuel cell vehicles.<\/a><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video autoplay=\"\" controls=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/vatgas.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/NHC_animering_utanmoln_animacja_6fps_1080_chmury_1.mp4\"><\/video><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Hydrogen is produced in an electrolyser that splits water and oxygen through the supply of renewable electricity from wind power (yellow arrow). The hydrogen is transported by truck to hydrogen filling stations (blue arrow).  <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much does it cost to fill up with hydrogen?<\/h2>\n\n<p>For an ordinary passenger car, it costs about 9 SEK per 10 km, just below the cost of diesel and gasoline per 10 km.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is there an explosion risk with a fuel cell car because it is fueled with hydrogen?<\/h2>\n\n<p>All fuel cell cars go through extensive crash tests and have a safety system that makes them at least as safe as regular gasoline cars. Fuel cell cars are tested to the same crash test standards (NCAP) as conventional cars and assessed according to the same strict requirements. Here are several ways that prevents a tank from exploding:   <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Since there is no oxygen in the tanks, an explosion cannot occur inside them.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the event of a fire, there are valves that first shut off the hydrogen flow completely. If <br\/>the temperature continues to rise, the pressure in the tank increases.
