Among those present at the inauguration were Ibrahim Baylan (former Minister of Energy and Industry), Karin Eriksson (CEO of OKQ8) and Morgan Larsson (CEO of Econ), the project developer behind the facility. <\/p>\n\n<p>&#8211; To meet climate targets, we need several alternative fuels. Hydrogen complements charging with electricity from wind and water and renewable diesel. This initiative is therefore an important step in our work for the transition of the transport sector,&#8221; comments Karin Eriksson, CEO of OKQ8.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Collaboration to drive the transition forward<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The new facility is part of a larger collaboration between OKQ8 and Skellefte\u00e5 Kraft and marks the start of a planned network of hydrogen refueling stations along Sweden&#8217;s most important transport routes.<br\/>The station has the capacity to deliver up to 1,500 kg of green hydrogen per day, which is equivalent to refueling about 20 heavy trucks.<\/p>\n\n<p>Econ, which built the station, is a Swedish renewable energy project developer focusing on turnkey plants for hydrogen, biogas and methanol.<\/p>\n\n<p>A hydrogen truck from M\u00e4larfrakt and a hydrogen truck from Renova were also on display at the opening ceremony, clearly showing how the technology is already being used in practice.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>More hydrogen stations on the way &#8211; Hydri grows in western Sweden<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p>The roll-out of hydrogen infrastructure is now underway on a broad front.
