The Nordic Hydrogen Bus Road Tour brings the future of public transport to four Swedish cities this spring.
Ride the hydrogen bus, meet the experts, and see how hydrogen can power fossil-free mobility — today.

📍 Stockholm • Göteborg • Ljungby • Växjö

This initiative aims to:

Showcase hydrogen buses as a fossil-free transport solution.

Build trust in hydrogen through hands-on experience.

Highlight proven results from EU hydrogen project.

Hydrogen-powered vehicles are already here — quiet, safe, fast to refuel and only emitting water.
The Nordic Hydrogen Bus Road Tour gives you the chance to see the technology in action and ask your questions directly to the experts.

We’re stopping in four cities across Sweden to raise awareness, share insights, and show how hydrogen enables clean, reliable, and scalable public transport.

What you’ll experience:

  • Hydrogen bus test rides
  • Test drive Toyota Mirai and BMW iX5
  • Local hydrogen tech and infrastructure demos
  • Direct access to technical experts
  • Info stands and insights from key partners

Follow the roadshow in action

Want to see what zero-emission transport looks like up close?

We’ll be sharing photos, videos, and highlights from each stop of the Nordic Hydrogen Bus Road Tour — from test rides and expert talks to behind-the-scenes moments.

Stay tuned as we bring the hydrogen journey to life, city by city.

Stockholm, Solna

Gothenburg, Lindholmen

What a day at Lindholmen in Gothenburg!
The second stop of the Nordic Road Tour was a celebration of clean mobility, first movers, and real innovation in action.

Surrounded by universities, tech companies and a buzzing crowd, we showcased hydrogen-powered mobility right at the heart of Swedish innovation — Lindholmen Science Park.

Our Caetano hydrogen bus and hydrogen cars from Toyota and BMW were on site ready to ride and inspire. Thank you to everyone who jumped on board and came by to learn, ask and challenge.

A powerful line-up of speakers reminded us what leadership looks like in the energy transition:
Bjorn Aronsson and Pawel Seremak, Vätgas Sverige
Viktor Allgurén, Göteborgs Hamn AB
Flavio Grazian, UITP
Erik Kuus, Zerobus Ltd
Dr Monica Johansson, Volvo Group
Jazaer Dawody, Energimyndigheten
Aivars Starikovs, Hydrogen Europe
Maria Stenström, 2030-sekretariatet
Mikael Antonsson, Hydri
Christoffer Löfström, Scandinavian Horizon

4 key takeaways from the NordicRoadshow stop in Gothenburg:

-Hydrogen buses are road-ready and efficient
Fuel consumption has improved significantly, with average use down to 5.7 kg/100 km during roadshows.

-Costs are falling, and scalability is proven
The price of fuel cell buses has dropped by nearly 13% since 2018, with economies of scale kicking in for larger orders.

-Hydrogen is essential for heavy transport
From ports to public transit and heavy-duty vehicles, hydrogen offers range, fast refuelling, and flexibility where batteries fall short.

-Sweden has the potential to lead, but must act now
Infrastructure, policy support, and procurement must align. The technology is here, the business case is emerging — now it’s time for action.

Big thanks to everyone who showed up, asked smart questions, and got on board literally. Let’s keep moving the transition forward.

Ljungby & Växjö

Final stops of the Nordic Hydrogen Bus Road Tour, showing hydrogen in action!

As we approach the conclusion of this unique European initiative, we’re proud to highlight three important activities that underline the value of hydrogen-powered transport across sectors and generations.

📍Strandmøllen, Ljungby
Industry, local government and infrastructure leaders will gather at the production site of our partner Strandmøllen to explore how hydrogen solutions are becoming reality in southern Sweden.
Speakers include representatives from Vätgas Sverige, Zerobus, PS Energi, Ljungby Municipality and Strandmøllen.

📍Sunnerbogymnasiet, Ljungby
Tomorrow’s workforce meets tomorrow’s technology. At this public event, students and citizens will test ride the hydrogen bus, learn from experts, and discover what a zero-emission transport future could look like.

📍Växjö Småland Airport
As part of the official Hydrogen Day programme, we will showcase the Caetano hydrogen bus and present the hashtag#JIVE2 project to aviation and energy stakeholders exploring integrated infrastructure solutions.

These final stops demonstrate what cross-sector collaboration can achieve, from energy production to public transport, regional planning and youth engagement.

A big thank you to all partners, speakers, cities and visitors who made the Nordic Hydrogen Bus Road Tour such a success. Your commitment is what drives the transition forward.
